Here’s a general outline of the process a professional installer would use:

1. Preparation of the Vehicle

• Cleaning: The car is thoroughly washed to remove any dirt, grime, and residues. This step is crucial to ensure that no particles are trapped under the film, which could cause imperfections.
• Claying: A clay bar removes contaminants from the paint surface that washing alone can't remove, ensuring the surface is as smooth as possible.
• Drying: The vehicle is thoroughly dried to prevent water from interfering with the film's adhesive.

2. Preparation of the Clear Bra Material

• Measurement and Cutting: The clear bra material is measured and cut according to the specific sections of the vehicle where it will be applied. Many installers use pre-cut kits designed for the vehicle’s make and model, ensuring a precise fit.
• Weeding and Peeling: The installer removes any excess material and peels the film from its backing to prepare for application.

3. Application Solution Preparation

• Solution Mixing: A slip solution, usually a mixture of water and a small amount of baby shampoo or a specialized installation gel, is prepared. This solution helps position the film on the car’s surface.

4. Application of the Clear Bra

• Applying the Solution: The area of the car where the film will be applied is sprayed with the slip solution. The adhesive side of the clear bra film is also sprayed with the solution to allow for easier positioning.
• Placement: The film is carefully placed on the intended area of the vehicle. The solution underneath allows the installer to slide and reposition the film for perfect alignment.
• Squeegeeing: Once the film is in the correct position, the installer uses a squeegee to push out the solution and air bubbles trapped under the film, starting from the center and moving outward. This process ensures the film adheres smoothly to the vehicle’s surface without wrinkles or bubbles.
• Edges and Trimming: The film's edges are carefully wrapped around the car's panels, and any excess film is trimmed off to ensure a seamless look.

5. Drying and Inspection

• Final Drying: The vehicle is left to dry for a specified period, allowing the adhesive to cure and bond with the paint surface. Depending on the environmental conditions and the specific product used, this can take several hours to a few days.
• Quality Inspection: After the film has dried, the installer inspects the vehicle to ensure the film has appropriately adhered and there are no imperfections. Any necessary adjustments or corrections are made.

6. Post-Installation Care Advice

• We will instruct you on how to care for a clear bra, including washing techniques and what to avoid during curing.
